Safari features an improved graphics engine with greater image quality, and it is enhanced with the addition of Apple's new Core Animation engine that provides rich visual elements and highly optimized animations for Safari. For example, the version 10.5.6 has added support for the High Sierra platform which adds many new features to Apple's mobile operating system. Safari has been improved through several releases that have made it a more functional web browser. The company's decision to release a browser for the Mac OS X operating system was meant to complement the company's iPhone, iPod touch and iPad devices, which run on the same technology as Safari but also on a bigger scale.
